Walk-about Wednesday: The Water Cycle

Today we’ll take a walk through the water cycle.

The Water Cycle

I am a drop of water

You asked where I have been

Around the Earth I’ve traveled

Oh, how do I begin!

I started in the ocean

I ride the ocean wave

A droplet in a wave

I rode upon the currents

To an underwater cave

A scientist collected me

In a jar

And put me in a jar

Off to her lab I journeyed

Around the Earth so far.

She accidentally dropped me

I went tumbling down                                                             Created with Microsoft Fresh Paint

I splashed into a puddle

On the asphalt-covered ground.

The sun beat down upon me

I started moving FAST!

I wiggled and I jiggled

And….I turned into a GAS!

Up into the sky I rose        Created with Microsoft Fresh Paint

I joined the droplet crowd

The wind blew us together

We made a puffy cloud!

The temperature got colder

I couldn’t stay afloat

I turned into a snowflake

And landed on your coat.

I am a drop of water

You asked where I have been

Around the Earth I’ve traveled

And I’ll do it all again!

Have a great day! Get outside and enjoy the fresh air.

Peace,

                                                                                                                                Nature Mamaw
